NEI has now signed contract for 2x1.000m3/h Venturi Oxygen Stripping Systems to be installed on 20.000 DWT tankers being built at Torgem Shipyard in Turkey for Kaptanoglu Shipping. They have an option for 2 more similar units next year.

These VOS systems will be the first ballast water treatment systems installed at a newbuilding shipyard anywhere in the world.

With this being the first order for Ballast Water Treatment, NEI anticipate that the VOS system will become standard design at many shipyards in Turkey.
